Races

All of the races found in the Players’ Handbook (and PHB2) are found within Keldemar, along with many races from the Monstrous Manual. Any differences with the core rules will be noted here, so be sure to look this list over before character creation. If you wish to play a race from the Monstrous Manual, simply check with me to see if it would fit in with the story.

Eladrin Commonly referred to as High Elves, Eladrin function differently in Keldemar. While they still maintain all of their usual powers and abilities, there simply is no Feywild in Keldemar. It does not exist there. Eladrin are simply a more esoteric and even more detached form of elf.

Dragonborn There are two varieties of dragonborn in Keldemar. The irst are the common dragonborn found in the Players’ Handbook, and the second are the noble lines of Dragonia. The latter of these comes from the line of Morlan, who is called the Dragon King. Many of his line possess the characteristics of dragons, although some do not and simply look like humans with minor differences, such as golden skin or eyes, small ridges or scales instead of hair, or they may be stronger than a normal man. Common dragonborn come from the mountains of Dragonia and are descended from dragons. They once ruled a great empire, but a series of greedy and decadent rulers brought war upon their lands from many lesser kingdoms and they were defeated. That empire died centuries ago and split into small warrior clans, many of whom have sworn fealty to Morlan, who they believe to be the perfect example of their race.
